Planting Flowers with Meme

We went to my parents last weekend. I mowed while my Dad did all the edging and weed eating. The kids helped Meme pick up sticks. They also got to help Meme plant some flowers in back and then in front. Meme also had a few plants she wanted planted down at the back corner of the yard.

While Meme and Papa dug the holes for these plants we had the kids pick up rocks along the back fence. This one of the bad things about central Texas when ever you dig you get lots of rocks. The kids enjoyed picking them up. It made Papa and Meme happy too. The more rocks they pick up the less for the lawnmower to run over.

After the grass was all cut I looked up the hill in the back yard and saw all these snails stuck on the wheel of the boat trailer.

Here is another one about singing. Madalyn loves to sing primary songs as loud as she can off the balcony. I heard her outside on the balcony yesterday singing “Follow the Prophet.” Here’s what she sang “Adam was a prophet first THING that we know…” instead of “Adam was a prophet first ONE that we know…” This is a song we have worked on but she always reverts back to the words she likes better. ~ March 2008
